An adjustable speed shrink tunnel fan maintains proper air recirculation.

Conserving energy through recirculation of heated air.  The speed of air circulation within the tunnel is adjustable for optimum shrink.

Modular heater banks regulate the temperature required for optimal shrink wrapping.

Consistent tunnel temperatures while saving energy.  Polypack maintains a stable tunnel temperature through a combination of constantly and intermittently energized, reliable, calrod heaters. The energy saving intermittent heater cartridges are automatically controlled via a thermocouple, and set for a temperature range of + 2º F.  They are slide mounted for easy access.

A fully insulated tunnel holds in heat while aiding proper air circulation around the bundles being shrink wrapped.

Energy efficient.  Save operating costs and improve personnel safety.  Triple wall, double insulation construction (stainless, insulation, stainless, insulation, stainless).  Completely insulated on all sides, the tunnel has up to 6-inch wide insulation.  Our tunnel design maintains a safe outer skin temperature on the tunnel’s sides.  Beneath the tunnel, Polypack’s exclusive ¾” insulation slab greatly reduces heat escape while deflecting recirculated air to the bottom of each bundle.

Selected machine functions and components, crucial to smooth, trouble free operation are programmed into the operator touch screen.  Selected “diagnostics” include:
1.
Reduced downtime, automatic troubleshooting and minimal spare parts use.  Diagnostic messaging is energized to indicate a component or assembly malfunction.
A. Line power.
A. Confirms an existing electrical source.
B. Low air pressure.
B. Indicates a decrease in air pressure below that required for operation.
C. Tunnel conveyor torque limiter.
C. Protects the tunnel conveyor from damage by shutting the machine down in the event of a conveyor jam.
D. Seal temperature limiter.
D. Prevents overheating and damage of the sealing assembly in the event of a thermocouple malfunction.
E. Tunnel temperature limiter.
E. Prevents overheating and damage to the tunnel’s components.
F. Upper/lower film level.
F. Indicates a no film condition, thereby alerting plant personnel to re-supply the machine.
G. Pressure pad safeties.
G. These safeties abort the seal should any object greater than ¼” thick (product, hands, etc.) be in the path of the sealing assembly.  The machine automatically reverts to manual until the object has been removed and the machine placed into automatic.
H. Electrical overload.
H. Protects the motors from damage in the event of an electrical surge.
I. Safety panel switch.
I. Indicates an open door on the safety “glass” (if applicable), promoting caution and ensuring safety.

An elevated, stacked, multi-color flashing operator alert light is mounted atop the machine.

Reduced downtime, troubleshooting time and spare parts use.  The master indicator light provides an instantaneous signal to consult the diagnostic panel.
